HTNG is the hotel technology standards body; its specifications are XML-based and largely reuse OpenTravel message structures. If your product already speaks HTNG, much of the work carries over to OPERA.

Use cases

  • Distribution — push availability and rates (ARI) to channels and receive bookings.
  • Central reservations — sync reservations between a group CRS and property OPERA.
  • Self-service — some kiosk and mobile check-in products are built on HTNG.

Checklist

  1. Confirm the HTNG version and the exact message list both sides support.
  2. Map room types, rate codes and channel codes.
  3. Define the master for rates and how overbooking is handled.
  4. Test modifications, cancellations and bulk rate-calendar pushes.
